Guide 01

Install it once. Verify it before you render.

Most failed exports are not cinematic-setting problems. They begin with the wrong ReShade build, the wrong connector, or files placed one folder too deep.

What RE+ actually needs

Camera curves, shake and unlocked editor limits only need the ASI loader. Rendering and physical depth of field also need ReShade with full add-on support, the modified IGCS Connector supplied with Rockstar Editor+ and the bundled depth-of-field shader.

01RockstarEditorPlus.asi

The camera, scene, limits and export hooks.

02RockstarEditorPlus folder

Your INIs, presets, FFmpeg, logs and captures.

03ReShade with add-on support

The ordinary restricted build cannot load the capture bridge.

04Bundled IgcsConnector.addon64

RE+ uses a modified build with its own capture channel.

05IgcsDof.fx

The physical depth-of-field shader belongs in reshade-shaders\Shaders\.

06RE+ Render Settings.exe

The supplied standalone editor manages both INIs and encoder presets while preserving their comments.

The same RE+ build supports Legacy and Enhanced, singleplayer and FiveM. FiveM builds 3751 and 3889 are explicitly tested by the project. On an older build, an unmatched pattern disables that individual feature and reports it in the log while other resolved features continue.

Folder layout

For standalone GTA V, the files sit beside the game executable. FiveM uses the same package inside its plugins folder.

Do a two-second proof render

  1. 01
    Open a short project

Use one uncomplicated clip. Do not diagnose a full cinematic sequence first.

  2. 02
    Turn on the RE+ renderer

Set the Rockstar Editor+ row on the Export screen to enabled.

  3. 03
    Drop samples to 3

This proves the capture path without paying for a final-quality render.

  4. 04
    Export and inspect the log

RockstarEditorPlus.log should identify ReShade, the add-on and the output directory.

  5. 05
    Restore final samples

Use 24 to 48 for ordinary final work, or 64 for a demanding hero shot.

Your two configuration files

FileOwnsDoes not own
Render.iniCapture, motion blur, images, video, audioCamera path and scene lighting
RockstarEditorPlus.iniCamera, shake, limits, scene, replay lengthCodec and output mode

The standalone RE+ Render Settings.exe is the safest place to edit encoder presets and paths. The in-game Export rows and Render.ini still represent the same settings and write back to the same file.
